The road means in Morocco is dominant in domestic transport. It ensures 90% of the mobility of people and 75% of the flow of goods excluding phosphate, on a road network 57,500 km long, 32,100 of which are paved, in addition to nearly 800 km of highways.
For its part, the railway, nearly 2000 km long, provides annual transport of more than 30 million tonnes of goods and 1 million passengers.
Benefiting from a 3,500 km-long coastline spread over the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, Morocco has 27 port cities and 30 ports to which will be added the port of Tanger-Med (in 2015), ensuring close traffic of 60 million tonnes and the transport of 4 million people. The maritime mode provides nearly 90% of Moroccan exports expressed in tonnage. To ensure transport by air mode, Morocco
has about fifteen national and international airports which annually transport 7 million travelers and 51 million tonnes of freight.
